I'm Ms. Dana
Greetings parents, guardians, and students! Thank you for visiting my profile page. My name is Dana. I am a licensed New York State general and special educator, and I am also TEFL/TESOL certified in ESL (General English, Business English, and English for Young Learners). My credentials are available upon request.
My Background:
I have been tutoring reading since I was 13 years old and teaching professionally since 2010. Since 2017, I have been teaching children English online. I have taught from pre-school to grade 8 in general and special education. Literacy has always been my strong suit, both as a student and as a teacher. I truly enjoy teaching literacy because it is the cornerstone of education. Without literacy, one cannot thrive in any other subject.
I look forward to partnering with you to assist your child to close the reading gap and increase their reading level or bring their English to proficiency.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you are going to miss a session, please cancel within a 24 hour period. You will receive a makeup credit to reschedule the class at a later day/time. Cancellations made within less than a 24 hour period will be charged the full amount of the session.
