Hello my name is Teacher Amy! I love teaching students about the amazing world around us. I enjoy teaching English and focusing on pronunciation, grammar and writing skills. My goal as a private tutor with Blue Sky is to provide students an environment that inspires them to learn fluent English skills and provide them with the tools they need to be successful.
As a teacher I enjoy learning about my students and their interests. I am excited to work with families individually and focus on each students needs. With a teaching style that builds on the students strengths, I strive to make learning a fun experience.
I have a B.S. Degree from Radford University and a TESOL certification. My teaching experience also includes teaching children on the VIPKID platform where I taught levels 2 through 6, several supplemental classes and adults. I have experience through the American Red Cross working with children in the community and in schools. My background in community health and as an ESL teacher online has given me a passion for helping students succeed in their learning goals.
I live in Florida and have 3 children of my own and love to spend time with family, traveling, and experiencing new adventures.
Building your child’s confidence in their learning ability is important to me. It is my goal to make learning fun, educational, and interactive. I aim to scaffold lessons to fit the needs of each individual student. I’m energetic and excited to meet new students. Come learn with me!

Parent Policies:
Please adhere to all Blue Sky Education Policies. Communication: If your child cannot attend class within 12 hours of their scheduled class, please send a message to Teacher Amy, through the Blue Sky Education website. We can reschedule your class for a different day and time, with no financial penalty.
Student No-Show: If your student does not arrive in class within the first 10 minutes, you will forfeit that class. Exceptions can be made for infrequent emergencies. Please communicate with Teacher Amy, as soon as possible, to reschedule.
Late Students: Teacher Amy will wait in our classroom for the first 10 minutes of class. After 10 minutes, Teacher Amy will leave the classroom. The class will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Teacher Rescheduling: If Teacher Amy is sick or has a family emergency, your class will be rescheduled. Teacher Amy will make every effort to communicate with you, ahead of the scheduled class.
Internet and Computer Problems: If the student or teacher experience technical difficulties that prevent us from having class, we will reschedule your class. If we experience ongoing technical issues over several classes, we will work together to solve the problem. Our goal is for your student to experience learning in a fun, high quality, and distraction-free environment!
